About the Velvet Rope Hair Studio

The Velvet Rope Hair Studio opened its doors in June of 2005 and moved to its new location in Downtown Bellingham (1400 North State Street #103) in July 2010. The artwork found in the salon was produced by Jennifer Mansfield.

Many people ask us "What is the origin of your name, The Velvet Rope?" So, we have decided to include the rational here on our website. The Velvet Rope is seen in many places and is often used as a barrier at events such as the Oscars, Academy Awards, and anywhere else there is a red carpet.

At The Velvet Rope Hair Studio, you are invited behind the rope, you are the star of the show. We are truely honored to have you choose us for all of your styling needs because you know that many of the dollars you spend with us go back into our community.

The Velvet Rope currently features Billy Munoz, Amy Price, Eva Jimenez, and Sandra Briggs. With a combined experience of over 23 years, you will be able to find a stylist to fit your needs!

Another feature that sets the staff at The Velvet Rope apart is that 3 out of 4 stylists are bilingual serving both English and Spanish speakers alike.
