On April 25th, the staff of The Velvet Rope Hair Studio ventured down to Seattle, WA for a packed 2 days of learning more about the trends, style, and upcoming products that affect the industry. Staff participated in continuing education courses with American Crew, Pravana, Wahl, Aquage, and many others! Feel free to ask your stylist about their experience down in Seattle!

Benefit for Haiti

This Saturday night in Mt Vernon, Camalache (one of the best Salsa groups in the Northwest) will be hosting a benefit at the Lincoln Theater in Mt. Vernon, WA. Event begins at 7pm (Salsa lessons will be given from 7-7:30pm) and will have opportunity for everyone to dance, or just sit and listen! Admission is $15 and remember, all proceeds will go to help the people in Haiti following the major earthquake that they just experienced.

Bellingham Food Bank Farm

Each Monday, Billy volunteers with the Bellingham Food Bank Farm in Bellingham starting at 9AM. Being able to out of the salon and hands out of hair and into the field with hand covered in dirt allow for a similar, yet different reward in working with one’s hands.
